Dendron means tree-like and is the root word for “dendrite,” which refers to the part of our nerve cells that branches out like a tree to receive neurotransmitters, such as serotonin. The term "dendron" also describes the molecular shape of certain synthetic chemicals.

Clinical studies suggest that women co-produce functional hormones in a communal environment. Our bodies function as a network that regulates signaling and promotes well-being. In the United States, we are often taught to ignore our bodies, our feelings of loneliness, and the pervasive social dysfunction in our society, all while prioritizing monetary gain. As a result, we may experience sexual exploitation, corporal punishment, and various forms of abuse that contribute to emotional dysfunction throughout our development.

The long-term physiological impacts of chronic stress from these experiences, combined with limited access to uncontaminated food, have depleted essential nutrients in our bodies and led to chronic diseases.

Dendron Women’s Health Circle aims to become a communal space for women to create a collective, conscious, and intentional network that interconnects like nerve cells. Through one-on-one and small-group services, this space is designed to empower us to navigate chronic illness by embodying our individual strengths and expertise collaboratively.
